Come hear professionals from the City of Oklahoma City discuss code enforcement and how neighborhoods can work with the city to improve their areas.

National Night Out 2008 Photo with the Mayor

East steps of City Hall, 200 N. Walker Ave.

Join us for the annual National Night Out photo with Mayor Cornett, City Council, Target volunteers, neighborhood residents and our local heroes- the police and fire departments! We will meet on the east steps of City Hall for a group photo and then we will go to the City Council meeting to hear Mayor Cornett read the National Night Out Proclamation. If you will attend, please call Neighborhood Alliance at 528-6322. The neighborhood with the most residents in attendance gets a prize!

 

National Night Out (NNO) 2008

City-wide

It is time to start planning your neighborhood's National Night Out event! National Night Out is a nation-wide event designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Target is the national sponsor of National Night Out and will be providing local volunteers for neighborhood events. Thanks, Target! NNO planning packets are available here! Join Neighborhood Alliance for the second annual Good Neighbor Awards Banquet. This year, there are five award categories. The nomination packet is available here! If you know of an individual, neighborhood, or business that has done extraordinary work for the community, please nominate them for an award!

The Oklahoma City Fire Department's
Smoke Alarm Program

The Oklahoma City Fire Department is offering free smoke alarms and batteries to Oklahoma City residents. Residents who wish to receive a free smoke alarm need to contact their local fire station. You can find your local station here.

If you need assistance with installation, please let your local fire station know. They will send personnel to help you!
